The AIW is an Italian non-profit association with the mission of providing resources for women to establish roots and flourish, through training, community building, and job opportunity for migrant women.

In April 2020 the AIW launched its first campaign "Cucire Insieme" training and employing women to sew face masks from home. The organization has since grown its seamstress programs, partnering with Necchi and Caritas Modenese to train and employ more migrant women to work in the industry.

The AIW together with its partners now has a space "Sartoria Sociale" in which it is able to work on the development of products by the organization and its partners.
